Use Hermes and OpenClaw agents free with AuraRoute
Sign in, create an API key, point your agent at AuraRoute and start working. Three steps, a free daily quota and no credit card.
Agents like Hermes and OpenClaw spend a lot of tokens: every step of a task is another model call. AuraRoute gives you a free daily quota to run them on, behind one OpenAI-compatible API, so the only thing you configure is where the agent sends its requests.
What you need
- An AuraRoute account. Sign in with Google; there is no form and no credit card.
- An API key from the dashboard. It looks like
az_live_…. - An agent that lets you set a custom OpenAI-compatible base URL. Hermes and OpenClaw do.
Step 1: sign in
Open signup and continue with Google. If you already have an account this signs you in instead.
Step 2: create your API key
In the dashboard, open API keys and create one. The free daily quota is bounded and published in the dashboard; each key also has its own rate limits, so one noisy agent cannot use up the rest. [FREE DAILY TOKEN QUOTA, set after Phase 0]
Step 3: connect your agent
Every OpenAI-compatible client needs the same three values. Put them wherever your agent reads its model settings:
- Base URL:
https://auraroute.dev/api - API key: the
az_live_…key you just created - Model:
agentfor Hermes and OpenClaw.autoalso works.
export OPENAI_BASE_URL="https://auraroute.dev/api"
export OPENAI_API_KEY="az_live_..."
export OPENAI_MODEL="agent"
Enjoy
Start a task. Behind the scenes each request is scored for its workload, sent to the best available provider, and moved to the next one if an upstream fails. Every request shows up in your dashboard with what served it, so you can see exactly what your agent spent.
You choose a workload, not a model.
